NBA Betting – Bryant, Lakers May Benefit From NBA Lockout

One of the strongest online casino contenders prior to the NBA lockout was the Los Angeles Lakers, who had reached three straight NBA finals including consecutive championship runs before falling short last season. Part of the purple and gold’s failure to close a year ago was about age, while another piece was likely the fatigue of three straight runs to the finals. While they may have not been able to contend this coming season had their not been a lockout, the fact that the association has been put on hold may actually be a good thing for the Lakers.

Consider the obvious, which is that the lockout will give veterans such as Pau Gasol and Kobe Bryant time to not only rest and rehab, but the opportunity to now use the extra time to build an even stronger foundation. Center Andrew Bynum has always had knee problems, and now his time off to recover has been extended to the point where he can work on his knees to make them stronger in an effort to avoid injuries in the future. The time off also gives the Lakers’ front office the time to evaluate their plans going forward, and they can shape how they want their roster to look over the next few years. There have been constant trade rumors surrounding Los Angeles over the past couple of seasons, and with the extra time off this may be when the Lakers finally pull the trigger on one of those sports betting deals.
